For those who have been following for awhile, you know I try to put out a post every 7 days or so. Last month it’s been more like 10 days until I throw up a post. I’ve been engrossed in playing Star Trek online and trying to balance working on myself and the things I’ve built around me. This includes this blog, the YouTube stuff and my photography hobby. Hopefully thing will get sorted out, though it looks like more events are coming to Star Trek Online, according to the in-game calendar.
The photography stuff has been slow but I’ve been slowly phasing out my Google Photos uploading and making use of 500px as a place to upload. I just like the fact my account name is visible in the address. I don’t think YouTube does that anymore, which makes the community a bit unique in their own way. I was complaining a lot about 20 photos a week limit awhile back. For me, it’s actually quite doable since the past few weeks I’ve been sending out maybe 4-10 a week depending if I have an idea. Definitely sticking to it and trying to do more in the future.
Speaking of more stuff, I’ve been trying to focus more on playing Tropico 4 which the campaign is being played on my channel. I think I might be burnt out from playing RTS and city builders. I might transition into survival or a shooter sometime soon. For the moment I want to get the campaign out of the way and maybe grab some achievements. One thing I’ve noticed is when you log into the game is when the achievements from the previous session will pop up. Strange they don’t reward it to you on the spot, but I’m not going to complain. I just finished uploading the last part of the first mission for the campaign, just 19 more to go. Yikes.
Until next time, feel free to take a gander and maybe drop of alike and comment somewhere. I’ll probably respond however I’ve been getting lots of spam comments recently on YouTube. Please be unique and try and not sound like you’re advertising, thanks in advance.
It’s my birthday month. After a long ass time working on my blog, it’s hasn’t change much compared to everything else in my life.
From what I can comfortably tell, this blog has gone through a few changes and I’ve tried to do one thing and another. I tried reviewing stuff here, I’ve ranted and still ranting, I’ve tried to reach out to the community a bit for some inspiration. The problem for me is I was never much a reader. It’s an unfortunate situation because reading is a great thing to do. Ever since I started this blog, I do want to read more. Recently I’ve even bought a few graphic novels and books. I’m actually reading through Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy by Dr. David D. Burns, MD, kind of want to but at the same kind of have to; it’s what my doctor says, so I feel I should find the answers to my own problems. Still reading for the sake of reading is beyond my grasp. I think awhile ago, I did mention this blog is more about to document changes; just a bit of something to share and look back on one day (assuming WordPress will still be around before and after I die).
I think I’ve made a lot of progress within the one or two years. Within the two years, I’ve gotten a part time job and still planning to work more often. Within a year I think I can recollect a bunch of new things I’ve tried and retried. I’ve taken up photography through buying a new camera. As you’ve seen in previous posts, there has been a few photos which turned out well. I’ve connected to the paint.net program through this, I’ve never found photo editing to be a fun task. Though my medium is digital, I admire some work still done with film. Those film photographers out there, you folks do have a remarkable skill. I’ve also made some small purchases as well from the book store aside from Feeling Good. Most of graphic novels and perhaps I might read more through graphic novels. After I’m done with this self-help, I’m ready for a light or fictional piece.
What I expect going on for the next year, I hope I gain and never lose. I’ve had a long slump in the past with only scarce small victories. Now I’m hoping more small victories with little losses, more gains and a flourishing lifestyle.
And cake, more cake!
Look everyone, I posted something on YouTube after so long. Seriously I have a lot to improve so probably some quick updates in the upcoming week. So without further ado, gamer me has something to say.
Game: Blacklight Retribution
Currently working on getting ride of the letterbox issue for Blacklight when recording, then just have to test it alongside with Insurgency, Star Trek Online then figure an upload schedule. Indeed, I’m taking what I learned in 4 years of blogging to this thing.
So far from uploading this clip, I learned a few things. First being quality is a bit off so I might have to adjust brightness. Uploading is really slow due to my connection. This 20 minute snippet was about an hour and a half to upload and process. Most importantly, re-renders lower the quality. I figured to save time to compress it a bit, but that lowered the quality. So I have to improve on quality. I’m not way too worried about high definition since those files would literally take a good chunk of the day to upload which I don’t really have time to put towards babysitting. I still have real life to tend to and I don’t think being a YouTube personality would be an overnight thing. For now, sticking to my main goal – keep busy!
Until the next test, get ready for a lot of time with Banished in 1 week, 4 days.
P.S. Fill out social media contacts on YouTube…maybe…
